Learning WDF:UMDF

The Windows Driver Foundation: User-Mode Driver Framework (WDF:UMDF) has just completed a major milestone for Longhorn Beta 1.  The code is fairly solid and ready for samples and real-world drivers to be developed against it.  Since WDF (and especially UMDF) are new technologies, I’m going to go through the process of writing a user-mode driver from the perspective of an application developer who has no WDM or WDF experience.  For this exercise I am going to write a USB driver against a small piece of hardware from OSR called the USB-FX2 Learning Kit.
