How to access Control Panel options in Windows 8

Where is Control Panel? That is the question on everybody’s mind who is using the Windows 8 PC. Well, its a different location, but its still accessible, lets take a look at how to easily customize and configure a Windows 8 PC:


Hover your mouse pointer at the right corner of the Windows 8 desktop.


When the Charms bar appears, click Settings


Click Control Panel.


If you want quicker access to the Control Panel, just right click on the Control Panel button on the Taskbar and click Pin this program to taskbar.

How to access the Control Panel from the Start Screen

If you want to access the desktop Control Panel from the Start Screen, you can create a shortcut by pinning it there too. Lets take a look at doing that.


Go to the Start Screen and right click anywhere on screen. When the Charm bar pops up, click All Apps


This will bring up a birds eye view of all Applications throughout the system, whether they are Metro based apps or Windows based applications. To pin the Control Panel to the Start Screen, Under System, right click Control Panel.


Then click Pin to Start on the Charm bar at the bottom of the screen.


This will add the Control Panel to your Start Screen for easy access.


This just an example of some of flexible functionality Windows 8 that gives you the best of both worlds.
