Windows 8 includes significant changes not only to the desktop, but also Windows Explorer or what is known as File Explorer. With the addition of the Ribbon, a lot of functionality has been shifted around. There are some features you might want to access and might be wondering where they are gone. One of these features in the Folder and Search Options window. Folder and Search Options allows you to change how your files are viewed and opened in File Explorer.
In Windows 7, you can access it by clicking Organize > Folder and search Options.
In Windows 8, you click the View tab
Then click Options.
