Although Windows 8 does a great job taking care of product activation by self activating the minute it detects an Internet Activation, there are times you might have to invoke it yourself. Here is a quick look at how to activate your Windows 8 PC if it does not Activate automatically for you:
First, right click the left hand corner of your Windows 8 screen:
Scroll down to Windows activation:
Click ‘View details in Windows Activation’
Click Activate
Wait while Windows 8 activates.
And that’s it!
Click OK and start enjoying Windows 8.

You will have to use phone activation.
Right click the left hand corner of the Windows 8 screen
Click Run
Type: slui.exe 4
2) Next press the ‘ENTER’ key
3) Select your ‘Country’ from the list.
4) Choose the ‘Phone Activation’ option.
5) Stay on the phone (do not select/press any options) and wait for a person to help you with activation.
6) Explain your problem clearly to the support person.

Hie, I did as you said but the option of choosing my country is not active, its displaying Afghanistan and not giving mi an option to change, I’m in Zimbabwe

How about if the Acitvate button does not respond? When clicked it does not do anything.
i already chekced the windows activation. it said “Windows is not activated” . when i clicked the “View Details in Windows Activation”, it said “Windows is activated” .
i don’t understand about this. pls help me
After I initially left a comment I appear to have
clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now whenever a comment is added
I get four emails with the exact same comment.
Is there an easy method you are able to remove me from that service?
